The Wio-SX1262 and Wio-E5 are both perfect choices for designing LoRa devices. Their main differences lie in whether you have a host MCU:
- If you already have an MCU, such as an nRF52840 or ESP32, and you just need to add LoRa functionality, you can choose the Wio-SX1262.
- the Wio-SX1262 series now includes the Wio-SX1262-N , which does not have an IPEX connector but instead uses SMT packaging to route the antenna from the PIN pins to an onboard antenna.
- If you need a single MCU to complete your design, then the Wio-E5 is an excellent choice.
