This is a screen for tech-savvy individuals who value a stylish round TFT screen with plenty of pixels. With a 2.1" diagonal display offering 480x480 16-bit full-color pixels, this IPS display will deliver beautiful colors up to an 80 degree viewing angle.
This version doesn't have a touchscreen, resulting in a slight reduction in expense. Nonetheless, it shares the same TFT display as PID 5792.
The TFT driver employed by this display is the ST7701S, which functions with SPI and TTL RGB 'dot clock' data. Note that SPI is only for configuration purposes; it is not an option for pixel manipulation. Additionally, the 40-pin connector is not compatible with 800x480 (4.3", 5" or 7") and 480x272 (4.3") rectangular displays due to its unique pinout.
To be able to achieve illumination, a chipset that can execute TTL RGB TFT driving is needed. Powerful processors such as the ESP32-S3 equipped with octal PSRAM, or computer boards in the likes of Raspberry Pi (along with either direct-DPI connection or a chip like ICN6211 in-between) are suitable for the job. Wiring it directly to Feather or Arduino is unfortunately impossible.
This is just the display module! No PCB is included.
You cannot use these with an every day microcontroller unless it specifically has support for RGB-666 displays so please do not purchase unless you know for sure that it can plug into a driver board with the correct pinout as well.

Receipt of deliveries
Deliveries to post office boxes are not permitted where delivery is by courier. If delivery is by courier and nobody is available at the delivery address to accept delivery when delivery is attempted then the courier may either:
- leave the relevant parcel at the unattended address (the courier will do so if specified in your delivery requirements); or
- re-attempt delivery at a later time or date, in which case we may charge you an additional re-delivery fee.
Note that if a delivery is left unattended at the shipping address and is subsequently stolen then the theft is your responsibility, not ours.
