Description

This industrial UV radiation sensor monitors UV radiation from 240 to 395 nanometers. It uses a photodetector with an optical filter to generate a current signal proportional to UV intensity. Sensitivity varies with the angle of incidence. It has a range of 0 to 200 W/m² and measures in W/m². Supports MODBUS-RTU RS485 for customized monitoring via RS485 data logger.

With an IP68 rating and an operating temperature range of -30°C to 75°C, this rugged total irradiance sensor operates reliably outdoors. It ensures accurate measurement of UV radiation to help understand its impact on crops and ecosystems, providing a solid foundation for research.

Application

  • Weather Observation: UV radiation sensors in meteorological stations measure UV intensity, aiding weather analysis and seasonal understanding.
  • Agriculture: UV sensors monitor the effects of radiation on crop growth, optimizing agricultural practices.
  • Environmental monitoring: Assess UV radiation in urban areas to understand its impact on health, the environment, and air quality.
  • Ecological research: Study the influence of UV on ecosystems, plant and animal behavior, and life cycles.

Its measurements help understand the effects of UV radiation on crops and ecosystems, providing a strong research foundation. Whether in science or application, the UV Radiation Meter plays a vital role in environmental monitoring and data collection.

Using grape cultivation as a case study, UV radiation sensors help optimize photosynthesis, yield, fruit quality, and stress responses, while aiding in genetic trait research and site selection. These sensors provide valuable data for grape growing and crop research, contributing to the development and innovation of the grape industry.
