CoDrone

The CoDrone is an excellent product for teaching coding drones. It allows younger grades to code in Robolink Snap! (similar to Scratch), a block based development environment and older students to code in Arduino. The installation on PC and Mac was easy. You just need to follow the online instructions from the Robolink website. Roblink (robolink.com) also provides lessons; however, they are for the unexpericed coder. A more experienced student might enjoy a summary of the flight commands to get the drone in the air. Both coding in Robolink Snap! and coding in Arduino was easy. Tip: Very important is to include a **** switch in every Arduino program. The **** switch is explained in one of the lessons and lands the drone. A simple programming error might cause you drone to take off and not come back. Robolink Snap! has a **** switch built into it. The only thing which can be frustrating is having to flick a switch, push one button and another button to upload the code from Arduino IDE to the drone. However, I guess that is necessary and a small price for being able to code a drone easily in the Arduino environment. Only one button needs to be pressed, should choose to code via Robolink Snap! . I still have to put the drone in the hands of my students to see how robust it is. So far it survived my crashes. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Receipt of deliveries

Deliveries to post office boxes are not permitted where delivery is by courier. If delivery is by courier and nobody is available at the delivery address to accept delivery when delivery is attempted then the courier may either:

  • leave the relevant parcel at the unattended address (the courier will do so if specified in your delivery requirements); or
  • re-attempt delivery at a later time or date, in which case we may charge you an additional re-delivery fee. 

Note that if a delivery is left unattended at the shipping address and is subsequently stolen then the theft is your responsibility, not ours.
