The Grove - Light sensor v1.1 integrates the LS06-S phototransistor to detect the intensity of light. Linear analogue output conforming to illuminance Low dark current and low working lux.

Features

  • Good spectrum characteristic: Built-in optical filter for spectral response similar to that of the human eye.
  • High reliability and fast response: Based on the LS06-S photoresistor, a high-sensitive and reliable photodiode that can quickly detect the intensity of light in the environment.
  • Stabilized output: linear analog output conforming to illuminance
  • High Sensitivity: Low dark current and low working lux
  • Grove unified socket: The sensor ensures "Plug and Play" and could be versatile for various applications.

Description

Differing from the last version, the Grove - Light Sensor (P) v1.1 uses the LS06-S phototransistor as a replacement for the traditional Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors. The LS06-S light sensor has a much more linear analog output conforming to illuminance, which ranges from 0 to the supplying voltage (normally 5V). A value equal to the supplying voltage can be detected when it’s exposed to daylight, and it gives 0V when you covered it with your hand.

This module can be used to build a light controlled switch i.e. switch off lights during day time and switch on lights during night time.

Get Started with Industrial Sensors

SenseCAP S210x series industrial sensors provide an out-of-box experience for environmental sensing. Please refer to the S2102 Wireless Light Intensity Sensor with higher performance and robustness for light intensity detection.

Upgrade to Industrial Solutions

With the SenseCAP S2110 controller and S2100 data logger, you can easily turn the Grove into a LoRaWAN® sensor. Seeed not only helps you with prototyping but also offers you the possibility to expand your project with the SenseCAP series of robust industrial sensors.

The IP66 housing, Bluetooth configuration, compatibility with the global LoRaWAN® network, built-in 19 Ah battery, and powerful support from APP make the SenseCAP S210x the best choice for industrial applications. The series includes sensors for soil moisture, air temperature and humidity, light intensity, CO2, EC, and an 8-in-1 weather station. Try the latest SenseCAP S210x for your next successful industrial project.
