The Touch Board gives you the ability to turn almost any material or surface into a sensor, and comes pre-programmed and ready to use.
Open the box, power up, and touch one of the electrodes to listen to the audio guide. It’s never been easier to start making an Arduino-based project.
The Touch Board has 12 electrodes that can be extended to create individual touch sensors using Electric Paint. Anything conductive can be attached to one of its 12 electrodes to make interactive and responsive interfaces. If you can do it with an Arduino, you can do it – and much more – with the Touch Board and some Electric Paint.
The Touch Board is equipped with an onboard MP3 player making each board capable of playing 12 of your favourite songs or sounds. It can also work as a MIDI synthesizer and even send MIDI messages to another device like an iPad or a laptop running Ableton Live.
Make custom instruments, interactive surfaces, or even light switches with this little device!
The Touch Board can be used just like an Arduino Leonardo and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE (1.5.6 or later), or used straight out of the box as it is!
Get your projects up and running instantly and build interaction into your world!
LEVEL: Beginner to Programming Pro
Getting Started with the Touch Board
Getting started is easy. The Touch Board comes pre-programmed with an audio guide that takes you through basic features and highlights of the board. This tutorial will get you up and running in no time.
Setting up your Touch Board with Arduino
Want to program your Touch Board? Great! Programming via the Arduino IDE is easy. We’ve got support for Arduino 1.5.6 and later on a bunch of different operating systems.
An Arduino that plays music! The Touch Board can play MP3 files off of the MicroSD card, work as a MIDI synthesiser and even send MIDI messages to another device like an iPad or a laptop running Ableton Live. Connect up a speaker to the 3.5mm audio jack and get going!
